Goodyear produced this last variant of the Corsair. It was nicknamed the "Super Corsair" because of it used the new Pratt and Whitney 4360 Wasp Major engine. With its 3000 hp the F2G could reach 30,000 ft in just 4 minutes. The war ended before the "Super Corsair" could be deployed.
