The AJ Savage was designed to deliver a thermonuclear weapon while deployed aboard an aircraft carrier. To make the Savage capable of carrier operation is was designed to use three power plants-- two Pratt and Whitney R-2800 radial engines and a Allison J-33 turbojet in the rear fuselage. Both the radials and the turbojet burned the same fuel.
