The Douglas Skyraider was a big, strong single-engine aircraft that could carry a heavy weapons load. This aircraft is decorated in the green and white markings of VA-65 Tigers. The Skyraider was the backbone of Navy and Marine attack squadrons aboard many different carriers for twenty-one years, from 1947 to 1962. In Korea, VA-65 logged 1,645 combat missions in their ADs.
