Designated Fargo, the The MiG-9 was Mikoyan-Gurevich's first turbo jet fighter developed after World War Two. The design had its problems but never the less, a total of 610 aircraft were built and entered service in 1948 with the Soviet Air Forces. It was the precursor to the revolutionary MiG-15 which appeared in the skies over Korea.
