The U.S. Navy's new Boeing P-8 Poseidon is based on the successful 737-800 civilian airliner, however with many important improvements. The Poseidon replaces the venerable P-3 Orion. Depicted here is a P-8 from VP-5, the "Mad Foxes", in a mock attack on a diving submarine. VP-5 was the first squadron to deploy with the Poseidon.
