The Douglas DC-3 revolutionized commercial air travel. It’s sleek design and comfortable interiors lured passengers by the thousands. By the end of the 1930s every major airline had DC-3s in their fleets and during World War II, thousands of the military versions, nicknamed the Gooney Bird", served in all the combat theaters of war. This print depicts the venerable DC-3 in Eastern Air Lines 1940 livery.
