Lockheed Constellation Evolution Poster
This poster displays the major variants of the Lockheed Constellation. The first prototype, which was requisitioned by the U.S. Army in February 1942 as the C-69. One of the first post war L-049s in Pan American Airways livery. The Chicago and Southern Airlines bought the first L-749s with new power plants. Then came the 1049G Super Constellation in classic TWA paint scheme. The 1049H, a convertible freight to passenger configuration, is shown in National Airlines colors. The U.S. Air Force adopted the Super Connie as the C-121 in various roles with the EC-121 Warning Star being the most recognizable. And finally, the 1649A Starliner in Lufthansa paint.
