Although not the only torpedo-delivering aircraft used by the U.S. Navy in the 1920s, the Martin T-4M was arguably the best. It even became a Hollywood celebrity, starring in the 1931 MGM film Helldivers. Here a dashing T4M-1 is shown in the 1932 markings of VT-2B. The bright red tail indicates it is stationed aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Saratoga.
